IPC2U Group announces a new Multi-port Serial Server

The Atop Multi-port Serial Server series includes 16-port Serial Server model and 2/4/8-port Serial Server model. The Atop 16-port Serial Server is structured on Linux platform which provides dual 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports for networking redundancy and a gateway between Ethernet (TCP/IP) and RS-232/RS422/RS485 communications. By encapsulating serial data and transporting over Ethernet, SW5016 supports full-duplex and bi-directional data transmission to be transparency between serial port and Ethernet LAN. With its powerful computing power and Linux SDK, it could be a high performance programmable controller for time-critical, high security, multi-function controller such as SCADA, telecommunication, transportation, banking, hospital, etc. Meanwhile it is packed in a rugged case with 19-inch rack mount and 100~240VAC wide power input range.

The MEGA series are a development platform of gateway between Ethernet and RS-232/485/422 communications. It can be built into any facilities or equipments, and converts serial port to Ethernet network. The MEGA series provides uClinux platform, high performance and low power consumption. Besides, all of the Atop's MEGA platform products have rich collection of GNU C API functions for customers whom may design their own features. Most of critical remote data acquisition is constructed on a dual networking architecture. MEGA series provides 2/4/8 - port on board and dual redundancy to increase networking reliability.
